Short illustrated story series, one new episode every day. Each episode is a minute-long story that teaches one real lesson about money, history, science, habits or life, with captions you can turn on and off.

Privacy at a glance

• No account. A random install ID kept on your device is sent with requests; it is not tied to your name or email address. The series you follow, what you have watched and your caption and language choices stay on your device.
• Views and reactions: when an episode has played for a few seconds, the install ID and the episode's ID are counted as one view (at most once a day, and the daily record is deleted after 3 days). A reaction you give is stored with the install ID until you remove it. Only the totals are shown to others, once an episode has enough of them.
• Rewarded ads: when you watch an ad to unlock an episode for 24 hours, the install ID and the episode's ID are passed to Google AdMob's server-side verification so we can record the unlock.
• Purchases: RioFilm Pro status is checked with Google Play (never your payment details).
• IP address: used in memory for rate limits and not stored.
• Ads: free users see Google AdMob ads, following Google's consent message where the law requires it.
• Processors: Google (AdMob, Play), Cloudflare (video delivery) and Amazon Web Services (servers). Stories are written with Anthropic's AI service from our own prompts; none of your data is sent to it. No third-party analytics.

RioFilm has no accounts; deleting the app removes your documents from your device.
